The series tackles timeless themes: religious fanaticism, the role of women, violence,epidemics, social conflicts, scientific progress and obscurantism.
Set in the Périgord region, it follows the daily life of the Siorac family.
This French-Belgian co-production, presented in La Rochelle in 2024, benefited from Tax Shelter financing via Beside Tax Shelter and from technical and artistic talents sourced and secured through Beside Productions.
The Belgian contribution to the production mainly covered sound post-production at BOXON, as well as the participation of Belgian talents such as actress Lucie Debay and part of the filming crew.
It was broadcast on prime time on France 2 (France Televisions) in 2024.
